The special education and other related services that a child receives must be described in the student’s IEP and be provided in compliance with the student’s IEP. Appropriate FAPE, The free service provision of IDEA is only for parents or guardians of the child this does not include other government agencies such as insurers, or third party payers. Private insurance companies can be used as a source for a school to use to help with costs of a student’s special education.
