Depending on what role you play in healthcare, whether it be provider, patient, manager, or educator your educational needs should be suited to that role (Anonymous, 2004). Sometimes, we are bombarded with information and are unable to decipher what really applies to us. It is important that we have a clear picture of what our scope is and what information we need to be informed and competent in what we do (Anonymous, 2004).
	It is troublesome that even those who have a clear picture of what their role is do not always use the resources available to be competent and stay informed. According to Sciba (2005) over half of the nurses who responded to a survey regarding evidence-based practice did not incorporate research into their practice. The question this poses is if we are not keeping up with current research in any way, how are we to be the best provider we can?
