MRS HENRY WISWELL KILLED (Published in the 13 Dec 1928 edition of the Belton Newspaper)
Mrs Rosa Wiswell, was killed in a motor accident last Thursday afternoon, just as the car in which she and her husband and a child were riding, had turned on to State Highway 71 at the Martin Ranch, a short distance north of Belton.
The Wiswells had been at the Martin place, and when the car ran onto the slab as they were leaving, the car door came open and in some manner Mrs Wiswell was thrown to the slab, and suffered a fractured skull. She was immediately brought to the office of Doctor McKee in Belton, but she died a short time after the accident without regaining consciousness.
Mrs Wiswell was born January 8, 1873, being at the time of her death 54 years, 10 months and 28 days. She is survived by a large family of children, in addition to the husband.
Funeral services were conducted at the E K George & Sons Funeral Chapel on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, and burial was in the Belton Cemetery.

Rosie Rowland was born January 8, 1874 and died December 6, 1928[1]. She was comverted at the age of 15 but did not join any church, due to oppsition of her parents, until after her marriage.
She was married on January 7, 1894 to Henry Wiswell and shortly afterward they both united with the Baptist Church at Brent OKlahoma. Eleven (twelve) children were born to them: Hattie (Hattie Mae), Charley, Olly B (Ollie Beatrice), Emer (Emma), (Elmer b/d 1901), A H (Arthur Henry), Fanny (Fannie) Mae, F A (Frederick Andrew), S G (Samuel Gillard), O E (Ola Edna - my mother-in-law), Louise and W E (Wadie Elsberry).
The family lived in Oklahoma until 5 years ago, when they moved to Missouri. They have lived near Belton several years.
Funeral services were held at Georges Undertaking Chapel Saturday afternoon, December 8, at 2:30, followed by interment in Belton Cemetery.[2]
